Cora comes home

Cora is a week old today! We came home Friday night to a decorated front yard and delicious dinner made by Grandma. Cora's first week has been filled with getting to know her new home, visits from friends and family, sniffs from her dog Grace, a visit to the pediatrician, and getting the hang of life in general.

She is a precious baby who makes her mom and dad smile all the time, even through their tiredness. We love seeing her change each day. Thanks so much to all of the friends and family who have helped welcome her into the world and have provided love, support, and food as we adjust to life as a family.

Link to photo site

Hi folks. We'll also add photos to this blog directly, but we'll store all of them in our Kodak Gallery. Here is the link:

We're heading home from the hospital tonight, so Cora will meet Grace (our dog) for the first time. Let's hope for no turf wars.

Almost here...

Still estimating 4pm for go time. We'll have a new girl soon!

Things going well

It's 10am and Molly is doing great. ..just getting used to the whole IV and monitor thing. It probably won't be until later tonight that anything significant happens.

Ready or Not...

The doctor and midwives decided that 9 days past the due date was enough. While we would have preferred to wait it out, we also didn't want the kid to turn out like me (Dan). So, sometime around midnight, they will induce. We'll see that girl soon enough. I'll try to post again when there's significant progress and Molly's sick of me entertaining her with stupid jokes.

Still Waiting...

OK, now we're three days past the due date. The midwife says that everything looks good and the baby is perfectly positioned. Just have to hold tight on the rush to the hospital part. We'll keep you posted.

The Waiting Game

Molly's due date is quickly approaching (this Sunday, May 6). We're eager to meet our new daughter (and to have an excuse not to mow the lawn as often). We'll keep you posted through this blog on birth and maybe some of the more fun stuff afterward. - Dan
