Monkey at the Zoo

Cora and I are in Florida taking a break before our big move. On Thursday my cousin Sarah and her boys, Seth and Colin came to visit us and we enjoyed the morning at the Brevard Zoo. We enjoyed it so much in fact, that Cora and I went back Friday. In Cora's world, anything with 4 legs is a "daugh" (dog).

Cora is Nine Months Old! (02/16/08)

So much changes in 3 months!  Cora is mobile, crawling and climbing just about anywhere she pleases.  She is saying a few words, including mama, dada, daugh (dog), bye (with a very southern drawl), ba (ball), and once in a  while she will even say "granpa".  My mom calls her a parrot because she tries to copy just about everything she hears including coughs and sneezes (I guess we need to start being more careful about what we say in front of her!) Some of Cora's favorite things include Grace (of course), birds, leaves, avacado, and keys. She waves, points, and pulls up.  As you can imagine, life has taken on a whole new meaning for mom and dad.

With as much as Cora is up to, it doesn't compare to the other changes in her life...as many of you know we are in the process of moving to Washington, DC.  Dan already loves his new job and Cora and I are looking forward to making new friends, being closer to old friends and some family, and sightseeing.  We are going to miss Atlanta a lot though! We have found a townhouse near Old Town and have an extra bedroom so we hope you will come visit and help us explore our new city.
