Family Vacation-Death Valley

Cora and I met up with Dan in Las Vegas after a conference he had for work.  We decided to check out Death Valley National Park.  We had a great time and were amazed by the beauty and how much we were able to see in a place we thought was 'just desert'.   We are sad that our 'baby flies for free' days are almost over...

Cora the Zebra's Big Halloween

Having a Treat

Ready to go home.

FSU Football

Being college football fans and having a toddler is not always easy.   Cora has learned to say "Go Noles" and will sometimes watch with Dan (pictured) but sometimes we have to 'keep her busy' (also pictured).  These are from last week when we beat the Hokies (sorry Mr. Foster)

Our 15 Minutes

Dan and Cora's pumpkin made it on the "Yes We Carve" website that supports Barack Obama. Check out their handy work at this link: http://yeswecarve.com/. They post a lot of pumpkins so if we are no longer on the front page you can search for us by typing Alexandria in the search box. There are lots of cool Barack-O-Lanterns to see!
Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Cora update

Cora is now 16 1/2 months old! She is growing so fast and becoming more and more a little girl than a baby. In fact, she is old enough now to play 'baby' and let me hold her. She is so much fun and such a sweet heart. She gives kisses and hugs and even rubs my back and says "nice". She has her moments, like the tantrum she threw in Home Depot yesterday but even those make me laugh. She certainly knows what she wants (and what she doesn't) and will let you know it. She had a good growth spurt and is now at the 65% for height (very exciting news for her basketball loving daddy) and 25% for weight. Her docs are very happy with her progress. We started seeing a wonderful allergist in Arlington who has really helped us get her itchyness managed. I now carry around an Epi-pen for emergencies, which I hope I never have to open. She is quite the trooper with the skin pricks and blood tests. I'm pretty amazed by her.

I don't have long on the computer but I wanted to send a quick list of her favorite activities and some pics. For those of you who know Dan I am sure you will see many of his expressions on her thoughtful and serious face. Like him, she keeps me laughing and happy. Love to All, Molly
