Cora has recently become very interested in birthdays. She sings the birthday song and always wants to know who's birthday we will be celebrating next. This is a 'cake' she made for Dan's birthday which is coming up on Tuesday. We'll be doing some celebrating this weekend and I guess she is just looking forward to it. Also, she has a VERY strong sweet tooth, another trait that is hard to say which parent it came from as Dan and I both are fond of the sweets. She goes crazy over cupcakes (and fortunately hasn't yet discovered that her little vegan cupcakes are different than what everyone else is being served). She is our sweetie, that's for sure!

Sorry baby Ansley, she was enjoying your Valentine before starting this cooking mess! This picture is also a good reminder for Daddy to put his shoes away...

rain, rain, go away...

I've been in a picture taking mood and have also had a little extra time to post. As typical, March is being unpredictable. We just had to get outside yesterday and also love any excuse to put on the rain coat Uncle Matt, Aunt Nicole, and Ella gave Cora for Christmas. I love this area in the spring, so many flowers!! We met Dan for lunch in Old Town today and the streets were lined with white blooms. Just beautiful! I can't believe we've been in Alexandria for a year now. We miss our friends in Atlanta & family too. Its been a good year for us though and starting a new year here is exciting. Wishing everyone a very happy weekend and some nice spring days in your future!

Spring is Here!

We are so excited that spring decided to show herself some this week with some warmer weather, buds on the trees, and a few flowers popping up here and there. Cora has been excited to be outside and smell the flowers. She also helped me plant some new ones. I've also included a picture of her enjoying breakfast in the sun at her new kids table. We're having lots of fun with her!
