First Day

Today was the first day of school! We've spent all summer looking forward to "3 year-old school" and now its here! I've never been more excited for you. I love the school you are attending: Resurrection Children's Center. Your teachers, Lois and Missy (and everyone else that works there), are so warm and friendly. I feel like they already love you. This makes me so happy and just a little more at ease leaving you. I'm already so proud of you and know that you will do and learn so much. I hope you love school now, and always...it can be such a great place.

As big as today seemed it is tomorrow and the days after I am most looking forward too; hearing about your new friends, the activities you do, and how each day you will learn more about life and yourself. Please always remember how much your dad and I love you, be kind to others, and jump in with both feet each day! You already amaze me.

For the memory books:
Impressing myself, we were all fed, dressed, and ready to leave early this morning. Brother even got a nap! I'm sure every morning will not go this smoothly but I'm glad we got off on the right foot. Jameson was getting in his car as we left the house. I'm so glad I got a picture of you two hugging. You've already learned so much from each other it seems appropriate that you would start this adventure together. When we got to school we took more pictures and met up with Ilona and Maryanna. Although you have several friends at school you don't know anyone in your class very well yet. Lois greeted you at the door and Missy welcomed you into the room. I watched for just a moment at the door as you played quietly at the sand table. I thought about you the whole time you were at school even though I had a meeting and tried to entertain Isaac at the library (he wanted to pull all the books off the shelves). We picked out some new books and DVDs for you. I called Grandma and Aunt Anna just to talk about you. When we arrived to pick you up you were running around on the playground. Lois said you had a really great first day. I watched you line up and walk inside, you looked so grown-up but my heart thinks of you as my baby. You told me your favorite thing of the day stats with the letter 'P', playdough! I love you Cora.
