My Girl

Cora turns 3 on Sunday.
More often I realize how much and fast she is growing. She is truly in the 'do-it-myself' stage and so often she really can. I am so proud of the girl she is becoming but sad about saying goodbye to the baby she was. She is so brave, curious, and clever. I love her curls, her smile, her wild streak, and when she sings. I love watching her play with other kids and helping her to tame her bossy side (even though I know she got it from me).
She is taking on her newest role as big sister with incredible love and energy. At first, I thought the attention she showed Isaac was more of an attempt to get attention for herself but I've realized lately how much she really loves him. He is the first person she asks about when she wakes up and is constantly trying to care for him or make him laugh (which she is really good at).
Its been a nostalgic week for me, her are some pictures if you'd like to come along.

What beautiful words, Molly. Birthdays are such times for nostalgia. I found at Maeve's 3rd that I was just overwhelmed by the fact that we were connected to this larger community (including you) who are helping to love and raise her. Parenting is such a humbling experience. Our love to you all!
